Turkey Hunting

The view from my turkey blind this spring. While i was unsuccessful in getting a turkey the action was almost non stop and became one of those times I look forward to all year long.

Putting down the Minerals

Today I picked up some mineral and salt to throw down for deer.

The Cuddeback is set right on the sight and any pictures I get will be posted in a couple weeks.

Probably the last trail cam check for a while

Surprised to see this buck still hanging around. And I believe the picture below is also of him but without his antlers. Maybe I can find them laying around somewhere.

This deer has been seen  a couple times around the house but this is the first picture of her we have. She seems to still be doing fine.

Hope for the Spring

My Brother saw about 15 turkeys as he was sitting in a stand one evening so we decided to go and look for them the next morning. We tracked them for almost a mile and gave up after tracking them 200 yards down the highway near by. As we were driving the next morning we saw them down the road a ways in someones front yard. Hopefully I will see them this spring with shotgun in hand.

Beaver stand

The stand I sat in overlooks a small beaver pond with a huge home in the middle of it. On the hill is a thick bunch of small trees.

Last Chance

Last weekend for deer hunting in 2012. My brother will be accompanying me into the woods. It will be his first time bow hunting. He got his first bow about a month and a half ago. he also got his first deer this year with the rifle. We will also be bringing a new free standing two person quad stand to but on a fields edge were there aren't any mature trees.
