Small Fish on Small Lake

This summer my family and I went fishing on the small lake in our town. We haven't had great luck but we don't go out much. Plus we're not the best fishermen. One of the problems we face is the lake is never more than 100 yards across and we catch most of the fish along the bank, so we are constantly getting stuck in branches logs and rocks. This year we only got out once and caught this very small bass.

Trail Camera Check

Checked the cameras today down south and got a couple of bucks.

The dates are wrong but the times are right.

10 deer in 9 days

There were about 15 total hunters throughout the course of the rifle season at deer camp and out of them 10 deer were taken. 3 does and 7 bucks. one of the bucks was a really nice size.

A very scenic stand surrounded by swamps and thick bunches of trees. And of course when theirs swamps there is bound to be beavers.

On my last rifle hunt for the year i was lucky enough too take this doe at 7:30 AM. She was in a lot of brush when i shot and was facing towards me. i really should have been more patient but i shot and she went straight down. i am now tagged out up north and will only be hunting down south with my bow. Hopefully we will be checking those cameras soon and seeing if its worth it to sit out.

Tags need to be filled and I am more than happy to be hunting rather than watching tv at home

November 3rd 2012. 745: AM . I took this 5 point buck at about 80 yards. He was chasing some does that had recently tracked through my location. It was still pretty dark ouside and I couldnt tell how big he really was. I actually shot him through the neck as he was quartering towards me. He was trotting across me shooting lane and I had to make a noise to get him to stop. Field dressed weight of 134.8 Pounds.

Starting tomorow morning my family and I will be in the stands with rifles in hand.
